The process of medical education reforming continues to be one of the most important tasks for Europe for today. A lot of steps were performed to make this process more appropriate and acceptable for European Higher Education Area. One of the most important achievement on this way is development of the agreed set of standards, procedures and guidelines on quality assurance with the Europian Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). The recommendations and methods which are given there will allow to unify educational process as much as possible and to save of national traditions and peculiarities at the same time. Since April, 2008, Ukraine became a full member of the European register of government quality assurance (EQAR). It will allow to join to the international process of medical universities accreditation in the nearest future. In our work we analyzed the main steps which had been performed in our university for internal standards assurance of the educational process according the ENQA.

Policy and procedures for quality assurance. In 2006 in TSMU was choosen a strategy of the university development for the continuous enhancement of quality. After open discussion in which were involved Academic senate, teachers stuff, students and community this strategy was implemented.
Approval, monitoring and periodic review of programmes and awards. Improvements and modernization of all educational programmes is realizing in concordance with credit module system.
Assessment of students. For maximally unbiased assessment of students was implemented system of module's control in the end of each semester in test-mode. Every-day "Moodle" testing, Step1, 2 and 3, OSCE also are providing objective approach to knowledge assessment.
Quality assurance of teaching staff. Teaching staff rating was implemented which consists of information about educational process, scientific and medical competence. The different trainings of teachers in the affiliate institutions of Austria, USA, Netherlands, and Czech Republic are performing regularly.
Learning resources and student support. The extensive TSMU Web-portal was created. All educational sources, lectures, training films are presented there. There are more than 3000 different educational materials for students.
Information systems. The regular analysis of all indices of university activities is performed every year. Different rating systems (internal, regional, and intercollegiate) there are in usage.
Public information. Reorganization in TSMU is open process. All innovations are discussing with personnel, students and with community members in the university's newspaper and on the web-site. We are opened for cooperation and new ideas.
