Within the last few years "Doctor-Patient-Communication" and "Social Skills and Competences" have increasingly been introduced as mandatory classes to the reformed curricula of medical universities.

With these reformed curricula having only been in existence for a few years teaching and grading methods still vary and standards as to how to teach and grade doctor-patient-communication have not yet been developed .

This paper surveys and compares the teaching and grading models with regard to doctor-patient-communication presently in practice by means of a structured poll.
