Each strategy is modeled by chance nodes (circles) representing (conditional) probabilities for true disease status, true resectability status, actual detection of PC, and actual classification regarding resectability. As both correct diagnosis and resectability assessment are crucial for an adequate treatment plan, we sought to maximize the number of patients having both diagnostic and resectability status correctly classified at the endnode (triangles).
