To improve surgical therapy outcome of glaucoma patients in "third world countries".

A prospective study, comparing the outcome of 20 eyes treated with conventional trabeculectomy with the outcome of 20 eyes treated with trabeculectomie with additional application of 5 FU.

No significant differences between the outcome of the two groups. 88,23% success in the group conventional Trabeculectomy and 90,90% success in the group with additional 5 FU.

There is no indication of the usage of intraoperative 5 FU during Trabeculectomy in low risk patients in Cambodia.
