Figure 1: Effect of 2-DG and VEGF on AMPK phosphorylation
HUVEC were stimulated with 20 mM 2-DG for 4 min, with 50 ng/ml VEGF for 2 min or treated with 2-DG for 4 min followed by VEGF stimulation for 2 min. Cells were lysed and subjected to immunoblotting using antibodies against phosphorylated AMPK (threonine 172) or AMPK. Typical experiments and the densitometric analysis of three experiments are shown (mean ± SEM). + p<0.05 versus unstimulated control.
