Figure 1: Statistical quantification of injured mouse femoral arteries double-immunofluorescence stained revealed, that CXCR3+ cells belonged in nearly equal shares to CD3+ T cells, to c-kit+ HPCs and to CD31+ ECs. In contrast, α-smooth muscle actin+ SMCs expressed no CXCR3 (Mean of co-expressing cells, n>7). Statistical analysis of the portion of CXCR3 expressing cells on the respective cell type demonstrated that CD3+ T cells and c-kit+ HPCs co-expressed CXCR3 most, whereas CD31+ EC co-expressed CXCR3 to a lower extent, (n>7).
