Figure 3: Conventional RT-PCR analysis of MMP-1 mRNA expression after single wIRA(+RL) or UV-A(+BL) irradiation
Human dermal fibroblasts were irradiated over 30 minutes with wIRA(+RL) (680 J/cm² wIRA(+RL), corresponding to 600 J/cm² wIRA) or UV-A(+BL) (50 J/cm²) at 30°C. MMP-1 cDNA was amplified and x-fold expression of MMP-1 mRNA normalized to actin mRNA was calculated (11 ±1 fold expression by UV-A(+BL) irradiation, no systematic increase of expression by wIRA(+RL)). Figure 3 presents an actual sample of a RT-PCR analysis.
