Zusammenfassung

Ziel der Arbeit ist die Resultate und die eventuelle Rezidiv der Anwendung der Radiofrequenz-Energie an Nasenmuscheln zu darstellen.

Patienten und Methode: An 988 Patienten mit nasaler Obstruktion und hyperplastischen Nasenmuscheln wurde ein Radiofrequenzchirurgischer Eingriff vorgenommen, 40% davon in Intubationsnarkose und 60% davon in Lokalanästhesie in der Praxis. Es ist das Leistungssteuergerät CelonLabENT mit den RFITT Applikator CelonProBreath benutzt worden. 2 Kontrolluntersuchungen im Verlauf von 8 Wochen dienten der Erfassung postoperativen Resultaten.

Ergebnisse: 90% der Patienten ist nach 8 Wochen deutlich verbessert und haben für die nasale Obstruktion kein Medikament mehr benutzt. 5% der Patienten ist mehrmals operiert (maximal bis 3 Mal) bis eine Verbesserung zu erreichen. 3% war stabil nach den zweite Operation. Erschwert sich die Situation, wenn eine Allergie oder Nikotinkonsum im Vordergrund kommt. Bis jetzt ein Rezidiv ist in 10% der Patienten nach 3 Jahren dargestellt.

Schlussfolgerung: Die Radiofrequenz-Chirurgie ist einfach und schnell durchführbar, ohne Komplikationen und mit langfristig Resultaten.
