The aims of study were to investigate the topography of the intracardiac nerve subplexus (INS), to estimate it’s action on the SA and AV nodes and possibilities of selective it’s denervation. For electrophysiological studies (ES) mongrel dogs were used. The thoracotomy was performed in the left fourth intercostal space. Two bipolar suctions electrodes for stimulation and EG recording were fixed on the right atrium and the left ventricle. The both cervical vagosympathetic trunk and ansae subclaviae were isolated. Heart zones and nerves subplexuses destructions were performed by cryoablation. In the 1-st series of experiments the destructions were performed in the zones around the superior vena cava: ventral, lateral and dorsal and in the 2-nd one in left posterior and the mid-septal nervous plexuses zones. The SA node activity; SA node function recovery time; pulse propagation time from atria to ventricle; effective refractory period of the atria and AV node were measured. Results and conclusions. Our ES suggest that by destruction of ventral, lateral and dorsal zones the function of SA node can be modified. The changes of electrophysiological parameters after INS destruction shows that destruction of ventral and lateral zones modify the effects of sympathetic tone to SA node. Destruction of dorsal zone modifies the effects of nerves vagus to SA node. The data of 2-nd series of experiments showed that AV node is reached only by parasympathetic fibers of the left posterior and the mid-septal nervous plexuses. After it‘s destruction the selective parasympathetic denervation of the AV node it is possible to achieve. In addition to the two nervous plexuses, some other plexuses existed comprising sympathetic fibers that reach the AV node. It is necessary to point up that the surgeons while performing interventions or ablations in the zones of nerve plexuses must to be aware of possible changes of SA and AV nodes function and to avoid manipulations in these zones.
