Sleepiness-anamnesis-questionnaires are an anamnesis element in the diagnostic of sleep associated breath disorders. Using questionnaire information’s about sleeping-behaviour and influencing factors should be evaluated before polysomnography. Thos the prognosis of the questionnaire may very considerably. Open and nominal questionnaires offer a wide a range of information about sleeping problems. Still, the evaluation of the degree of the sleeping disorder may be limited. For their easy analyses numeric questionnaires (e.g. Epworth-Sleepiness-Scale) may point out sleepiness problems of the patient. Because of the limited number of questions possible regarding the complexity of sleep associated breath disorders during sleep, their meaningfulness is restricted. The intention of this study is to evaluate the sleepiness-anamnesis-questionnaires and to correlate with the results of the polysomnography, to do a statement regarding the validity of different anamnesis questionnaires. The results of this studies serve as basis for discussion, concerning to the prognostic meaningfulness of sleepiness-anamnesis-questionnaires in context with somnolostic diagnostic.
