Kharkiv National Medical University (KhNMU) is one of the largest medical higher schools of Ukraine, a member of the International Association of Universities, the leader in reforming of medical education in Ukraine. It was founded in 1805. The Diploma of KhNMU is recognized in many nations of the world. KhNMU is listed in the World Health Organization directory of medical Schools.

Due to favorable references of international education and medical organizations and associations, the diploma of KhNMU is a reliable pledge of perspective career and prosperity for its graduates. The clinical departments of the University are integrated with hospitals based at 9 regional, 10 municipal, 5 departmental medical institutions. Strong links with hospitals mean that students combine academic study with acquiring the clinical and communicational skills necessary for meeting the challenge of a career in health care.

The research activities conducted by the University scientists meet the current requirements on a level with the highest national and world standards. The international cooperation of the University Departments provides monothematic studies and exchange of research experiments. Agreements of cooperation with foreign and international institutions have been concluded, among which are the outstanding educational establishments.
