Workshop/Arbeitstreffen

A great deal of resources goes into delivering valid and reliable assessments. Every semester a large number of exam questions have to be designed, their content checked for accurancy and formal criteria must be met. Exams must be specific in their compilation and analysed for quality assurance. Exams must then be graded according to certain regulations and the results fed into an administration system.

While document reader systems, analysis programmes or computer based exams can all contribute to saving resources when it comes to correcting, grading and statistical analysis, the resource saving does not extend to question design, quality assurance and structured exam compilation. Substantial improvment in these areas can only be achieved through faculty cooperation.

The medical assessment alliance is an example of such a faculty cooperation and will be presented during this workshop. To facilitate cooperation between faculties an all-in-one platform, the IMS, has been designed. The IMS is a system that completely supports workflows in the preparation of assessments, their realisation and evaluation. The practical element of the workshop allows you to try out relevant parts of the IMS system yourself.
