Abstract

Growth rate and size that can reach a tumor, either malignant or benign, are common features of malignancy. In addition, the tumors can due soft tissues invasion, bone erosion, bleeding, and inflammation with or without infection, neurological signs, pain and functio laeza of the organs in which they grew. In the field of head and neck, tumors are growing and producing monstrous deformities and defects almost impossible to ignore. It’s very difficult to understand how a licensed nurse, for example, can stay with a giant cancer of larynx, externalized through the neck skin, about 12 cm in diameter. This is ignorance, denial of diagnosis or lack of education? The authors aimed to present few cases of giant tumors of head and neck at the patients with different stages of education, as well as their explanations for the advanced tumor stage.
