The Congress for Traumatology in the Elderly (German: Alterstraumatologie Kongress) took place in Marburg from 10 to 11 March 2016, under the motto "Act collective – Preserve mobility – Keep quality of life".
Due to the interaction of pre-existing conditions and the complexity of fractures in osteoporotic bones, traumatology in the elderly constitutes one of the major medical challenges of this century. The congress combines a premium-quality scientific program with Key Note lectures, workshops, postersessions and symposia to an interdisciplinary and interprofessional platform allowing the exchange of current treatment concepts and future developments.
